Genova Technologies has an immediate opening for a long-term project with one of our clients in the federal government sector.

 

The work for this position will primarily be performed on-site in Crystal City, VA. The candidate will work within an established aerospace embedded software environment to research, develop, and design the system software. Your responsibilities will include:

·       Acting as a software expert in an integrated team of hardware, systems, and electrical engineers

·       Facilitating cooperation between government and contracting teams

·       Supporting software update cycles.

 

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

We’re currently seeking people that want to build their skills and work alongside a team of like-minded individuals. The ideal candidate will have:

·       An active clearance of Secret or above

·       A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field

·       5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical position

·       3+ years of experience in engineering design or requirements development

·       The ability to travel to Crystal City, VA to perform work on-site.

 

Additional skills we consider a plus include:

·       Certifications (or the ability to obtain certifications) for DAWIA I or II in Engineering, Program Management, or similar fields

·       Familiarity with DoD documentation and contracting requirements

·       Proven ability to adapt to ambiguous/changing software requirements.
