Geotab is seeking a Senior People Analyst who will act as a subject matter expert with a strong understanding of HR data analysis. What you’ll do: 

The Senior People Analyst is responsible for advanced HR data analysis, providing strategic insights through reports to optimize our workforce, enable data-driven HR strategies and elevate business decisions.  This role involves analyzing data and leading the development of data-driven HR strategies, contributing to organizational planning.

How you'll make an impact:

    • Respond to ad-hoc data analysis requests, delivering actionable insights on topics ranging from operational demographics to performance metrics.
    • Lead special analytical projects that contribute to HR's strategic goals and enhance our understanding of workforce dynamics.
    • Lead the refinement and elaboration of data processes, ensuring the availability of accurate and reliable HR data to empower informed decision-making.
    • Define and implement data quality standards, collaborating closely with the Data and Analytics team to ensure alignment with organization-wide objectives.
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of HR data, ensuring its alignment with intended usage, scalability, integration capabilities, and seamless delivery. Collaborate with internal teams to effective data management strategies.
    • Lead projects related to the standardization, centralization, and integration of HR processes and systems while maintaining a keen focus on employee engagement and enablement across global operations.
    • Act as the definitive subject matter expert for technical matters, data integrity inquiries, technology selection, and methodologies, providing insightful guidance for People Analysts and stakeholders.
    • Guide and mentor people analysts, through coaching, technical expertise, and helping them develop advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of HR practices.
    • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex HR data, including comprehensive workforce analytics, predictive modeling, and in-depth studies to support strategic decision-making.
    • Provide senior management with high-level insights into HR trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs), influencing workforce planning, organizational development, and overall business strategies.
    • Help enable senior leaders to make informed, data-based decisions by providing business analyses and analytical support, particularly in areas where data are difficult to access / unreliable and where a high level of analytical skill is required.
    • Continually seek, report, evaluate, and make recommendations to leadership to improve planning and forecasting.
    • Understand industry trends and identify benchmarks to connect to the internal workforce trends.
    • Help drive continuous improvement in forecasting process and methodology.

What you'll bring to this role:

    • Diploma/Degree specialization in Human Resources, Statistics or a related field highly valued.
    • 5-8 years of experience in Human Resources with 3-5 years experience in Statistics or Data Analytics preferred
    • Core knowledge of report development, data storage, and data modeling concepts.
    • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
    • Strong project management and prioritization skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
    • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
    • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
    • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including a solid understanding of HR strategy and systems across all areas of HR.
    • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • SQL skills are an asset.
