Who you are:

As a Hardware Developer Intern, RF your key area of responsibility will be supporting the Hardware team in the design and verification of Geotab Telematics devices and/or auxiliary devices. This position you will need to work closely with your colleagues on the Hardware team, as well as Mechanical, Embedded system, Design Verification, and Production teams. To be successful in this role you will need to be independent, detail oriented, with a keen desire to learn more.

The opportunity:

    • 12-month work-term beginning May 2024.
    • Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:

    • Hardware verification against board requirements and debug hardware issues.
    • Prototyping and testing new hardware designs (ie: oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
    • Writing investigation reports in a clear and readable manner.

What you'll bring to this role:

    • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics degree program.
    • Familiarity with reading schematic and/or PCB layout designs.
    • Ability to dig deep and learn without supervision.
    • Basic knowledge of wireless communications. 
    • Bonus: Experience soldering and working hands-on with electronics. Experience with Altium Designer or any other ECAD software. Experience with RF equipment
