Geotab is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager who will be responsible for managing members of the accounts receivable team, while performing various duties that contribute to the overall success of the department. What you’ll do:

As the Accounts Receivable Manager your key areas of responsibility will be managing invoices, handling missed payments and supervising a team of accounts receivable specialists. You will ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the entire accounts receivable process.

How you’ll make an impact:

    • Set objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the accounting department’s goals.
    • Monitor processing of invoices.
    • Ensure timely collection of payments.
    • Conduct credit checks.
    • Negotiate with clients in non-payment cases.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports.
    • Organize records of invoices, bills and deposits.
    • Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law.
    • Ensure all team members follow the accounting principles.
    • Stay updated on industry and legislative changes.
    • Provide expert project leadership and guidance to team as SME.
    • Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports.

What you’ll bring to this role:

    • 5-8 years experience in Accounts Receivable.
    • 1-3 years experience managing or developing teams.
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software and familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel.
    • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry an asset.
    • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent proofreading abilities.
    • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
    • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
    • Success with coaching and development of employees.
    • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
    • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
