Currently, more than 1800 students are learning at GESS supported by more than 400 full time and part time academic and administrative staff members. In August 2018 GESS moved to Dairy Farm Road to a modern new school campus located at the edge of Singapore’s largest nature reserve.

Job Purpose
Support the administrative and logistical aspects of running the sports department and in particular, the ACSIS (Athletic Conference for Singapore International Schools) programme, competitive sports and co-curricular events.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Collaboration And Coordination
·       In collaboration with the Head of Sports, support the administrative and logistical aspects of running the ACSIS and competitive sport programs, e.g., Travel logistics, facilities, referees booking and sport uniforms order.
·       Proactive and timely communication to parents, including in advance of matches and in the event of cancellation.
·       Coordinate try out weeks for ACSIS Teams and International Teams.
·       In collaboration with the Head of Sports, maintain the Sport Website, including updating the match results and team sheets in a timely manner.
·       Generate statistics and provide recommendations regarding the ACSIS Programme for next year.
·       Collaborate in monitoring the ACSIS and CCA Events Budget, ensure correct invoicing and monitor expenditures.
·       Work closely with the Head of Sports on the strategic direction of the ACSIS Programme
·       Work closely with the CCA and Swimming operational teams to ensure seamless provision of sports
·       In collaboration with the Head of Sports, Organize and promote invitational sport events
  
Support
·       Support the organization of the CCA Fair
·       Organize appropriate recognition of student participation/achievement in competitive sports, e.g. Furnishing Medals and displaying Team Photos and trophies 
·       Manage ACSIS Team sign ups in our school operational systems and ensure timely payments
·       Support the organization of the Holiday Camps
·       Adhoc weekend sports events across ACSIS and GESS Invitationals
·       Operational running of GESS Sports events
·       Support in organisation of GESS sports programs
 
Knowledge and Experience
·       Diploma in any field
·       English native speaker, German knowledge advantageous
·       Excellent organisation, administration and communication skills
·       Relevant experience in administrative or service-oriented fields. Sport knowledge is an advantage.
·       Enthusiastic and willing to work flexible hours
·       Ability to multitask and work under pressure
·       Good team player
·       Excellent Computer skills
·       Open mindedness to work in international teams

Our School
The German European School Singapore (GESS) is a multi-lingual, not-for-profit, German international school in Singapore with a distinct European flavour. As an accredited ‘Excellent German School Abroad’, the German Section of GESS offers all major German school leaving certificates.
 
Our European Section offers tuition in English for students from grade 1 - 12 across all three IB programmes (the PYP, the MYP and the IB Diploma Programme) as an authorised IB World School.
 
Children aged 2 years onwards can enroll in our Preschool where children are following the PYP programme in German-speaking, English-speaking or bilingual groups.
