The opportunity:
- As an iOS Software Engineer, you'll enhance the car rental experience of our iOS application by creating seamless and reliable software. Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver exceptional user interfaces. Develop new features, ensure smooth UI performance, and improve our delivery process. Keep our tech stack up-to-date and contribute to our design system. Your work will directly impact our users and market, driving our mission.
- You’ll be a key member of our Bookings squad focusing on driving more bookings with a given supply
- You'll belong to an international mobile team composed of 10 members, and will report to Renaud, our Mobile Chapter Lead
What you'll do:
- Work closely with our product, design teams, backend developer and data analyst to deliver great user experience and pixel-perfect interfaces inside squads
- Work on great features that make car rental easy and frictionless
- Keep our UI smooth
- Improve our delivery process with tests, continuous integration
- Keep our tech stack state of the art: we always evaluate what is best for our needs
- Always find ways to make our app more flexible
- You will use and contribute to our in-house design system

What you'll bring:
- Getaround handles thousands of rentals a day and making a non-virtual experience frictionless is a big challenge. For that, we're looking for rigorous people with a strong product mindset who cherish creating highly reliable software in a collaborative and inclusive environment
- 1 to 3+ years of experience
- Experience shipping at least one excellent iOS app, ideally currently available on the App Store
- Strong understanding of what makes a good UX
- Deep understanding of the iOS SDK
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Strong object-oriented and architectural skills
- Meticulous mindset but you also understand that software engineering is about making trade-offs, balancing business and technical needs
- Good communication skills, comfortable working in a team, and can easily work with non-technical colleagues
- Comfortable with the English language (written and spoken)
