Commercial Real Estate Sales Engineer
This role is responsible for demonstrating to prospective customers how Built’s solutions will address their needs specifically within their Commercial Real Estate (CRE) business line. In addition to partnering closely with Account Executives, CRE Sales Engineers also interface with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing. The CRE Sales Engineer is a highly visible technical and product expert in the pre-sales process and a primary driver for internal advancement of customer requirements.

Job Description: What you will do

    • Serve as Built’s lead technical CRE product contact for prospects throughout the sales process
    • Partner with Account Executives to demonstrate to prospects how Built can best address their use cases and technical requirements. Specifically, to design solutions and share best practices throughout the sales process.
    • Provide ongoing solutions consulting to existing Built customers to enable upsells
    • Work with our engineering and product teams to translate prospect feedback into meaningful product insights

Skills: What you will bring to the role

    • Minimum of five years of specific banking or CRE lending experience
    • Familiarity with all sides of the construction lending process, both in the pre-close/underwriting and the post-close portfolio management.
    • CRE Underwriting experience (formal credit training a plus)
    • Experience advising and supporting a sales organization with a client-centric and friendly approach to resolving deals
    • Expert knowledge of various CRE finance products and understanding of the CRE finance capital stack 
    • Experience working with outside commercial real estate developers
    • Ability to collaboratively work across sales and business functions
    • Self-directed with a passion for creatively solving problems while demonstrating initiative and flexibility
    • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
