The platform offers live classes taught by peers who are experts in their field, social hours hosted by community members, and special events with speakers who directly address areas of interest to older adults. Classes are taught in English, Spanish, Hindi, and Mandarin. We’ve grown to over 150 employees spread across the world with core teams in the U.S., Australia, India, and more sites coming soon.

We are looking for a senior marketing director to join our team to build a world-class, global customer relationship marketing program. This role is part marketing operations leader, setting up new tools and systems for marketers throughout the company to effectively reach our members and hit our objectives. It’s also part customer activation and retention specialist, creating and testing new approaches to reaching out and engaging our members.     • Develop and execute creative concepts to activate, engage and reactivate users to drive growth objectives. Run multi-channel ongoing tests and build winning designs into automated communications.
    • Lead email and lifecycle marketing campaigns that drive educator activation (top of funnel) and retention (bottom of funnel);  your immediate focus will be retention-driven with scope expansion over time 
    • Analyze large amounts of data, identifying trends and cohorts to personalize email marketing campaigns across the funnel
    • Our goal is to activate and drive awareness among 30 million older Americans using email and other channels suitable to this cohort. You will help execute a plan to hit those goals.
    • Own our CRM platform (WebEngage).
    • Set up automated journeys and ad hoc campaigns on our WebEngage platform and continuously optimize installation.
    • Manage and build a team of junior email marketers to drive activation and engagement.
    • Coordinate with category teams within GetSetup to manage content calendar, and provide templates and guidelines.
    • Develop and share ongoing email performance reports 
    • Analyze campaigns across segments and channels, report on the effectiveness, and implement winning tactics.

About You

    • 7+ years of Marketing experience
    • 3+ years of strategic and hands-on experience developing lifecycle and multi-channel marketing programs (email, in-app, push, etc.), segmentation and automation
    • 2+ years of experience working directly in an enterprise email service provider.
    • 1+ years of experience developing and executing A/B tests to drive conversion lift
    • The vision of how to leverage data and insights from campaigns, product, and supplier intent, to build out a lifecycle marketing playbook.
    • You are a super coordinator able to work with multiple teams and ensure the end-user has a well coordinated, delightful experience with our brand.
    • Ability to toggle between long term view to strategize/plan and the deep weeds to execute
    • Understanding of the drivers of successful lifecycle marketing and email marketing
    • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing) to drive high priority business goals
    • You can work with the ambiguity and constant adjustments that come in an early stage company, and you find solutions to any blocker.
    • You are a doer and work fast. You have a strong sense of ownership, think bigger than your role and go above and beyond to meet company objectives.
