The Human Resource Manager will champion diverse aspects of best HR practices reporting directly to the Head of People & Talent. The person in this position is key to formulating partnerships across the HR function, legal, finance and the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives and values of GetSetUp. Areas of responsibility include process review and creation, administrative implementation of continuous improvement approaches, maintenance of HR data and processes as well as simplification of our employee service experience. This position requires a high level of interpersonal savvy, discretion, problem solving, strategic prioritization and project management skills.

Responsibilities

    • Identify potential gaps and areas for improvement in HR processes and proactively develop solutions to improve them
    • First point of contact/liaison with employees who have payroll and benefit questions
    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on human resources topics and HR best practices
    • Process new hires, promotions, separations, and other job changes in HR systems for internal and external employees (FT and contract)
    • Employee database maintenance and quarterly audit of information in cooperation with accounting and benefits liaisons
    • Improve and maintain the onboarding and offboarding cycles from start to finish for internal and external employees (FT and contract)
    • Execute administrative coordination of Federal and State employment practices such as FMLA/ADEA/ADA and LOA’s
    • Create new hire offer letters, consulting agreements, partnership agreements, and any other contract related work
    • High attention to detail and over-communicating to ensure the information in the agreements is correct, then storing the agreements in the proper place once fully executed
    • Conduct orientation sessions with new employees regarding HR policies and processes for internal employees 
    • Provide support for systems data audits and communicate required changes to IT, Payroll and other departments as needed
    • Maintain legal compliance and confidentiality in related areas
    • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
    • Support creation and implementation of inclusive hiring and recruitment process
    • Review, edit and maintain job descriptions
    • Source candidate pools for open roles, matching candidate skills and experiences
    • Conduct scheduled meetings with respective business units, providing HR guidance as a trusted advisor when appropriate

About You

    • 5 + years of progressive experience in Human Resources
    • Experience in tech start-ups or other innovative and fast-paced environment is preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or related field
    • Preferred experience in Project Management
    • Must possess strong analytical skills to assess data, facts, and figures used to proactively develop strategies designed to improve the business and see hidden problems
    • Working knowledge and experience in multiple HR functions and procedures (pay and benefits, compensation, labor law and employment best practices, HR systems, training, performance management, employee relations, change management, ADA)
    • Knowledge of employment law including but not limited to: ADA, FMLA/OFLA, and FLSA.
    • Multistate and multinational experience or exposure preferred
    • Display high-intensity, high-initiative approach towards owning and driving the people and talent agenda
    • Appetite and resilience to operate in a fast-paced business environment
    • Keen ability to learn quickly and learn through experience
    • Nice to have- experience with the following software: Rippling, Lever, Slack, and Notion
