Your Next Challenge:
The Product Owner brings knowledge of software technology (e.g. websites,
applications, enterprise services, platforms), business value prioritization methods, critical path dependency identification and solution options for stakeholders in accordance with their vision and goals focused on business value.
The PO translates goals and objectives into iterative deliverables for implementation.
Balancing competing factors (discovery, dependencies, mitigation of risks, highest-ROI, etc.) to prioritize the backlog to ensure optimal delivery.
Manages ongoing negotiation of time, scope and plan of attack with business stakeholders. Empathetically communicates risk, tradeoffs,
status, and targets for delivery of the team’s work in timely and adaptive fashion.
Collaborates with the business partners and software development teams to provide solutions that shape and define Getty’s Products & Services
Exhibits a strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of software
development from prioritization to delivery (including post-deploy monitoring of performance)
Defines and champions best practices for the systems and technology they are
Provides knowledge and leadership in specific domains and/or applications
Work with business partners to understand and translate goals and objectives into deliverables
Elaborates Portfolio needs into user stories that are granular enough to be implemented by developers and provide incremental value to our customers
Comfortable leading regular agile ceremonies: daily stand ups, development reviews, product and team retrospectives, kick-offs, planning, sizing, demos and be the voice of the user by communicating the value behind each product and prioritization decision
Prioritizes and sequences the backlog according to business value.
Conveys the Vision and Goals at the beginning of implementation and inspects the progress for each story to own acceptance or rejection of completed work
Defines Service Level Agreements and maintains communication regarding application performance
Communicates implementation status and health updates to both business and technology management (formal and informal, regular cadence and ad-hoc)
Ensures testing strategy is implemented, maintained and adequate to support health of systems and services
What You'll Need:
Demonstrated business analyst skills
Domain knowledge in the following areas:
Website, mobile applications, enterprise services and/or platforms
Business knowledge in software/high tech industry
Enterprise software development (experience as a developer, SDET, architect, etc. a
A “can do” attitude with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams and operational
support in a fast paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically around status, risk, trade-
offs, and target delivery reporting
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Desired 3 years relevant experience in this field
Well versed in the principles of Lean and Agile software development, preference for
