Who You Are:
You have minimum two years of experience in internal communications, in-house or agency. You are disciplined, yet flexible - you are able and willing to embrace a hybrid working environment.
The Internal Communication Specialist will partner closely with Comms, HR, and others to manage internal communication channels. Candidates should be meticulous and highly motivated, with the ability to think strategically, adapt quickly and work well with a team. Excellent writing skills and analytical abilities are essential.
You are a no-friction team member and are prepared to partner across the business and develop and strengthen partnerships with other teams. You work collaboratively with teammates and peers across departments to deliver the best quality work.
You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done! You understand that you may be required to work irregular hours as dictated by regional communications. You’re willing to jump in and help others no matter the task or level. You are accountable to your role, the team, and the wider company.
Your Next Challenge:
- Implement engaging internal communication campaigns across multiple channels: intranet, Slack, newsletters, internal events including all company meetings.
- Support internal communications strategies for global issues impacting employees.
- Partner closely with HR, Product, Marketing and Technology Departments to define communication needs and implement plans.
- Maintain a comprehensive internal communications calendar.
- Draft and distribute employee organizational announcements.
- Maintain and update internal intranet site to ensure information is engaging, accurate, relevant, and timely.
- Analyzes employee engagement trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities for internal communications team.
- Support campaigns that bring together communications across numerous company-wide projects, helping messages to land and be absorbed effectively.
- Work closely with DEI & CSR teams on internal employee engagement initiatives.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable internal/corporate communications for a multi-national, creative, media or communications agency.
- Experience writing business communications (e.g. executive emails, blog posts, newsletters).
- Experience owning multiple deliverables and working in a fast paced environment.
- Passion for employee experience and translating complex concepts into simple, comprehensive, engaging stories.
- Highly collaborative style; positive attitude; strong work ethic grounded in honesty and integrity.
- Ability to work seamlessly with a hybrid team.
- Strong professional maturity and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Reports into: VP of Communications (based in Washington D.C.)
