Getty Images and iStockphoto are seeking an experienced Content Writer to join our dynamic and growing SEO team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in SEO keyword research and a solid understanding of how to create content that drives traffic and engagement for our iStock Blog, Getty Images and Product-driven organic landing pages.

Your Mission at Getty Images – Move The World

The SEO Content Writer, a mid-level role, is responsible for bringing the diverse, inclusive and stunning imagery of the and websites to the world by improving visibility and traffic to the sites in Organic Search results of Google, Bing, Yahoo and more. The role will create new and exciting content with access to photography professionals and industry specialists. Get excited about SEO again – We launch new ideas weekly!
The primary business goals follow the customer journey for an imagery purchaser’s needs and our SEO team objectives: Increase organic search visibility (impressions) and traffic (clicks/sessions) with meaningful visitors which will increase Orders and Revenue.

This is the position for you! Getty Images is committed to growing the Organic Search channel footprint with dedicated SEO track engineers, executing the strategy of the SEO team’s work.

As a Content Writer, you will research and write high-quality, engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and messaging, centered around photography, imagery, icons, templates, design and licensing for our blog and other pages. You will partner with our distributed team of SEO Strategists to create an editorial calendar that speaks to the differentiated and valuable content our sites offer. The role is also responsible for optimizing all content for search engines and ensuring that it is keyword-rich and employs all best practices in SEO.

The SEO Content Writer will report into the VP of SEO at Getty Images, while working daily with SEO Strategists with regional input.
We are seeking an individual with an understanding of the photography industry and a passion for visual storytelling including both still imagery and video. In this role, you will be writing content from both the point of view of imagery contributors and the needs of our customers. Candidates with photography industry experience will be given strong preference.

Your Next Challenge:

    • Research and write high-quality, engaging content pieces for our blog monthly, provide copy to category and product landing pages where needed
    • Optimize content for search engines using SEO best practices
    • Conceptualize, write and launch hub-and-spoke content pillar pages related to the customer journey of imagery on our site
    • Create an editorial calendar with our SEO strategist leading blog traffic and authority growth
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and goals
    • Train our partners across Getty Images on best practices in SEO keyword research, providing example copy and rewrites
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and strategies
    • A key goal for this position will be to drive an increase in valuable traffic to the website in partnership with the SEO strategists and other cross-functional teams at iStock and Getty Images 

What You'll Need:

    • At least 2 years of experience in SEO content writing and keyword research
    • Solid understanding of SEO standard methodologies and strategies in content creation, management, and editorial planning
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
    • Ability to use SEMrush, Conductor, Google Trends and other such content research tools
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • English language proficiency
    • We may ask for a sample of your work currently live on the web 

Nice to Have:

    • Experience working in the photography industry a strong plus
    • Additional language knowledge or skills a plus including but not limited to: German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese
