The Editorial team provides our customers with premium, differentiated visuals across news, sports, and entertainment that cover real people, events, actions, and facts. We also grow and maintain one of the world’s most extensive archives of socially significant, historical photos, footage, and prints.

The Full-Time Photo Assignment Editor provides external full time coordination services to a Digital Image Manager in order to ensure the delivery of clients photographic requirements, the efficient running of the digital library and implement editorial resources for the live coverage of European football competitions and events on digital channels. 

Your Next Challenge:

    • Provide coordination services to a Digital Image Manager to meet the clients photographic needs
    • Provide coordination services to the Digital Image Manager to meet the maintenance requirements of clients digital library (photos, graphics and brand),
    • Coordinating with external client Picture Desk to assist with editorial deliverables, assigning editors to shifts as per the requirements of the client Digital Image Manager;
    • Briefing editors for each shift on stakeholder deliverables;
    • Training editors regarding any new tools, services or new deliverables;
    • Assist with the photography delivery for European football competitions and events;
    • Coordinate stakeholder requirements for the creation of briefs for photographers for all assignments according to clients needs, requirements and standards
    • Assist with photographers' assignments and work either on-site or remotely;
    • Consulting editorial teams, colleagues and partners about available image content and suggesting possible online and offline uses;
    • Coordinate the delivery of digital assets to stakeholders, internal and external via the digital library;
    • Create new users and assign roles and permissions based on requirements on the digital library;
    • Ensure tagging principles are followed on all assets and ensure that metadata meets the client requirements.
    • Update and enhance metadata where required;
    • Train the integrated AI tools consistently by ensuring that all relevant databases are up to date and ensure that AI tagging is accurate and efficient;
    • Coordinate the production of graphics and logos (club & NA logos, kit graphics and other requirements) in line with client standards.
    • Oversee the shared mailbox and answer all digital library related service queries;
    • Builds and maintains strong relationship within clients and Getty Images editorial team
    • Manages logistic arrangements in deploying photographers to events and photo shoots
    • Ensures that all clients are covered accordingly and business targets are met each month

What You'll Need:

    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the editorial photography industry
    • Keen awareness of European Football
    • The position also requires keen picture judgement, advanced knowledge and experience with industry standard editing tools and an understanding of editorial integrity operations
    • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a remote team environment
    • Experience with industry-standard editing tools, Adobe Photoshop and Digital asset management (DAM) software
    • Ability and desire to work flexible, non-traditional hours including weekends, nights & holidays
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment accurately, while maintaining thorough attention to detail

Nice to Have:

    • Relevant Degree preferred
    • An additional language is advantageous, however not essential.
