Analytics Engineer- EST- CMT time zones (remote)

Due to the current conditions and impact of Covid-19, this key position will initially work from home, until such a time we open our offices. At the time of the local office opening, employees and managers will partner to determine the work site location in line with our Flexible working policy.

Who You Are:

Getty Images is looking for individuals who have a deep interest and experience implementing Analytics solutions to enable enterprise wide decision making.
In this role, as an experienced Google Tag Manager and Analytics engineer, you will manage tracking implementation and support the enterprise wide analytics strategy.
You will be working with an experienced team to execute the strategy and implementation of enterprise tracking, including development, implementation and QA related to the site features, a/b testing and digital marketing initiatives.
In addition to possessing a strong technical background, you are comfortable explaining sophisticated analytical tracking strategy to both Business and Engineering teams, and can provide concrete recommendations on how to deploy effective analytics tracking work into production.
You will have end-to-end autonomy and ownership of your projects and partner cross-functionally with other business units to uncover new opportunities for business growth.

Your Next Challenge

    • You will join a team of analytics experts who are building an analytics strategy which will be applied across the organization. You will play a key role in driving and improving the current analytics architecture across multiple websites. You will be working closely with product owners, engineers and analysts to implement the more scalable solution for the business.

    • Develop the analytics strategy in alignment with the current team
    • Be a key stakeholder in the enterprise wide Google Analytics 4 deployment
    • Lead tracking and tagging requests and improvements.
    • Configure and Deploy Universal Analytics Tags
    • Support the deployment of relevant Marketing Pixels.
    • Debug Tracking and Identify issues with GA/GTM.
    • Work with different teams across the company to listen to, understand and translate business requirements into actionable analysis and insight.
    • Complete QA of tracking requirements and data validation to ensure effective strategic analysis can be conducted .
    • Support and maintain the enterprise wide data model for the web data layer. Update the data model when needed for specific products.
    • Partner with technology to enhance the Data Layer implementation, including definitions and schema management

What You'll Need

    • Proficiency with analytics tools, in particular Google Analytics 360 and Google Tag Manager
    • Understands how GTM works in client side data collection.
    • Understands the relationship of site code and data collection in relationship to GTM and a tracking requirement doc.
    • Understands how the data layer works and the relationship of key value pairs and data into Google Analytics
    • Can read how tags are configured and apply that to tracking requirement docs.
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
    • Experience working with integrated development environments, source code management systems and workflow management systems
    • Curious about technology, business, and the role of data collection and data driven decisions.
    • Curiosity about digital analytics/marketing and a desire to continue to learn.
    • Ability to understand the big picture of web analytics needs and requirements.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Problem Solving approach.
Mental and Physical Demands:

Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
Occasionally moving objects up to 20 lbs and frequently moving objects up to 10 lbs.
Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; Time of each will vary.
Constant operation of computer and frequent usage of other office machinery, including (but not limited to) calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
Constant assessment of accuracy and thoroughness of the work assignment.
