We are looking for someone to be someone both willing to roll up their sleeves and establish/implement tests across our electric bikes. You will be building out a team and processes in China in a fast paced environment.

What You'll Do

    • Head of hardware QA team
    • Building QA team and process in China
    • Validating new product hardware
    • Write tests
    • Build QA processes for safety plus efficiency for our electric bikes
    • Implement these QA processes for safety plus efficiency for our electric bikes
    • Introduce quality hardware in the future
    • Vendor management
    • Improve test process
    • Test hardware on all parts of our electric bikes
    • Follow up with factories both in US and in China
    • Clear reports
    • Perform mechanical, electrical and/or software verification to ensure alignment of requirements and specifications vs design
    • Qualifying end projects
    • Write certifications for each region
    • Safety tests
    • Compliance testing
    • Feedback between Operations and Engineering teams
    • Continuous improvement 
    • Analytical ability to predict failure and what steps to prevent and report severity
    • Quality for safety improvement
    • Quality of user experience
    • Performs design analysis tasks using Wheels and industry developed tools
    • Writes system requirements, and drives those into subsystem and component requirements
    • Troubleshoots complex systems from a hardware and software perspective
    • Writes technical documents including; Technical Specifications, Patent Applications, Reports, Requirements
    • Contributes to test case development to support validation
    • Perform mechanical, electrical and software verification to ensure alignment of requirements and specifications vs design
    • Uses DFMEA process and drives mitigations into requirements documentation and test cases

What You'll Need

    • Bachelor’s of Science in electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related field equivalent is required
    • 5+ years of experience in engineering projects including research and development efforts, Verification & Validation testing, and systems engineering aspects of the projects’ life-cycle
    • 5+ years of professional related Engineering or Quality work experience
    • Proven success leading and documenting Root Cause Corrective Action or Failure Analysis investigations
    • Possess effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well with team members, customers, suppliers and in a team environment
    • Ability to exercise sound judgement and apply decision-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention
    • Proficient with GoogleDrive Suite Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) MS Access and Project
    • Must be familiar with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing related documents
    • Theoretical and practical experience applying statistics to resolving manufacturing issues
    • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes
    • Project management experience
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
    • Good listening, questioning, clarifying and summarizing skills to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment requiring strong project and time management skills
