Job Overview: Zuma is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Machine Learning
Engineer with a strong background in Natural Language Processing, specifically around Large
Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will have prior experience in building and
designing LLM based applications, especially NLP applications like Conversational AI and
Search. This role is crucial for the continued development and innovation of our core
conversational AI product, Kelsey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
●Work on the development and enhancement of our conversational AI product, Kelsey.
●Work closely with SOTA language models (LLMs) and employ the latest NLP
architecture patterns and models in application development.
●Take charge of the AI platform side of our codebase, primarily working with Python.
●Engage in regular sprint calls and contribute to shipping production-ready code.
Qualifications and Skills:
●5+ years of experience
●Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience)
●Expertise in Python programming
●Experience designing LLM based systems
●Strong understanding of LLM architectures and current research trends in the field
●Experience working on solutions in AWS or Azure
●Strong communication skills
●Familiarity with engineering practices, including shipping production code, writing robust
tests, and working within an Agile methodology
●Startup experience and a scrappy/flexible mindset
Preferred Qualifications
●Prior experience working on RAG based architectures
●Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced ambiguous environment
