Zuma is seeking a strategic Engineering Manager to lead our internal tooling, data aggregation, and analytics teams. This role involves ensuring smooth and scalable operations, promoting best development practices across teams, and attracting top engineering talent to accelerate growth. You'll play a key role in helping teams set ambitious and meaningful KPIs to drive measurable success.

As a leader, your role involves coaching and managing a diverse group of full-stack engineers.     • Leading and managing multiple full-stack development teams
    • Collaborating with product managers and designers to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable engineering objectives
    • Creating processes to address engineering gaps and increase velocity
    • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior team members
    • Working closely with customer-facing product teams to ensure alignment between engineering and customer needs
    • Organizing comprehensive interview loops to ensure a thorough evaluation of potential hires
    • Actively hiring top talent to scale teams effectively and maintain high quality standards


    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in full-stack software development
    • Proven experience leading or managing technical teams (at least 3 years management experience)
    • Strong customer obsession and experience working with product managers and designers
    • Demonstrated success in hiring and growing a high-performing engineering team
    • Experience with technical recruiting and talent sourcing strategies
    • Ability to assess candidate technical abilities accurately
    • Experience in conducting technical interviews and evaluating soft skills
    • Strong proficiency in languages and frameworks such as Javascript, Typescript, Python, ExpressJS, NodeJS, MongoDB/NoSQL, and Rust
    • Extensive experience with micro-service backend frameworks and technologies, as well as server-less architectures
    • Extensive experience with database systems
    • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
    • Startup experience and a flexible, resilient mindset
