Our client is a manufacturing company, operating under the umbrella of a publicly owned company. They specialize in technology devices and deliver high-quality products to a diverse range of clients. As they continue to expand and innovate, they are seeking a talented Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations within manufacturing division.

The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and analysis specific to the manufacturing division.

Responsibilites

    • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual operating budgets and forecasts.
    • Provide insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and cost optimization initiatives.
    • Cost Accounting:
    • Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems to accurately track manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead.
    • Conduct regular variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control processes.
    • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize working capital and minimize obsolescence.
    • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Establish and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support financial audits and reviews.
    • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.

Requirments

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing
    • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls frameworks.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
