We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes. Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases to assess their financial viability.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the distribution or manufacturing industry.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
