Our client, a large non-profit is seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to support the organization's financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing valuable insights, conducting financial assessments, and assisting in decision-making processes to ensure the effective allocation of resources and the achievement of our mission.

Responsibilties

    • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support strategic decision-making and goal attainment.
    • Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluations to assess the financial health of programs and initiatives, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Budget Management:
    • Collaborate with department heads and program managers to develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and resource constraints.
    • Track and analyze budget variances, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors.
    • Support the preparation of grant-related financial reports, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulations.
    • Grant Management:
    • Assist in the financial administration of grants and contracts, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and reporting to funders.
    • Work closely with program managers and development teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting on grant-funded activities and outcomes.
    • Data Analysis and Modeling:
    • Utilize financial modeling techniques and data analysis tools to evaluate financial scenarios, assess risks, and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as requested by senior management to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related roles, preferably in the non-profit sector or a relevant industry.

    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
