A global industrial company is seeking a Finance Manager to support one of its recently acquired business units. This role will report to the Director of Finance and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while providing insight through financial analysis and reporting. The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting integration efforts, serve as a strategic partner to the GM, and act as a delegate for the Finance Director in select forums.

This position represents a strategic investment in the company’s long-term finance leadership pipeline, with potential for the selected candidate to grow into a director-level leader and oversee additional business units.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Application, Customer Invoicing, and general ledger accounting
    • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls
    • Act as a key finance stakeholder during post-acquisition integration and operational scale-up
    • Provide data-driven financial insights and recommendations to site leadership and the Finance Director
    • Support the completion of monthly reporting packages
    • Assist with the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning
    • Communicate financial results and key metrics in a clear, actionable manner to cross-functional stakeholders
    • Mentor and review work completed by the staff accountant
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • CPA or CMA certification preferred
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
    • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace and defense, or industrial settings; multi-site experience is a plus
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations
    • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
    • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
$175,000 - $220,000 a year
