As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance department, overseeing various financial activities and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our accounting processes. Reporting directly to the Accountng Manager, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. Responsibilites

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
    • General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate recording of transactions, reconciling accounts, and implementing necessary adjustments.
    • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for management review.
    • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Assist in coordinating audits and responding to audit inquiries.
    • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing efficient solutions to streamline workflows.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as operations, sales, and procurement to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
    • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualification

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a food or distribution environment.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
$80,000 - $85,000 a year
