About the Role:
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and growing real estate investment and development organization. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of full-cycle accounting processes, support financial reporting for multiple entities, and contribute to the overall financial health of a diverse real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment where precision and problem-solving are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
Maintain accurate general ledger and ensure proper recording of income, expenses, and intercompany transactions.
Support audits, tax preparation, and annual reporting requirements.
Analyze property-level financial performance and provide insights to leadership.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within real estate, property management, or construction industries.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
