Manager, Program Operations

The Manager, Program Operations will manage and coordinate all logistical aspects of Girls Who Code programs, including but not limited to the application, registration, and onboarding processes for our K-12 program models, program surveillance and evaluation, external messaging content creation, safety and risk management, and customer/inbound support.They will be responsible for streamlining the operations and processes supporting program execution while ensuring consistently high standards.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Operations, the ideal candidate will have exceptional implementation skills, be flexible and solutions-oriented, and be a cross-collaborative project manager who can balance both strategy and program management to continuously enhance quality and consistency. They bring experience working with students and families in an out-of-school setting and a commitment to the mission of Girls Who Code.
The successful candidate has at least four (4) years of demonstrated experience in project and/or program management preferably at an organization providing direct service to underrepresented communities.
Responsibilities: Systems and Infrastructure
- Provide advanced technical leadership and collaboration alongside the System Operations team to build processes to integrate and streamline across user platforms
- Design and implement support systems for our K-12 program models to ensure two-way communication and successful user onboarding into our programs
- Monitor and evaluate utility, satisfaction, and success metrics to make process improvements and iterative design adjustments based on user feedback
- Work with the Operations Team to continually improve efficiency and performance of systems
Responsibilities: Program Logistics
- Facilitate both internal and external stakeholder trainings on navigation and utility of support platforms
- Develop internal and external policies and processes for tracking student process and participation in our programs
- Manage remote team members to support onboarding, customer service, technical fulfillment, and student incident escalations
- Project manage and coordinate logistics around our print and online translation work
Responsibilities: Communication, Strategy & Support
- Develop a communication timeline and strategy to onboard students, families, volunteers, and corporate partners into our programs
- Coordinate all needed releases and waivers with key stakeholders across the organization and with external user groups
- Work with students and families to coordinate program accommodations as needed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable professional experience
- Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience; preferably in nonprofit operations management with an education or youth development focus
- Experience working with complex operations, workflows, and systems; as well as designing and implementing new processes
- Strong project management skills, alongside an ability to anticipate, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
- Process improvement experience a plus
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where projects may be re-scoped or pivoted to better address organizational needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills
