What does it mean to be a Human Resources Business Partner at GLS?
Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering exceptional HR services across defined organizational unit(s) in alignment with organizational objectives. Serves as a thought partner and an extended leadership team member to management, actively engages in the facilitation of solutions to business challenges and influences positive change.

How will you drive value within the organization?

    • Assesses, evaluates, and identifies areas for management development/improvement to optimize the current and future operational performance of the business unit, including influencing positive outcomes. Coaches' managers to encourage ongoing expansion of associate and leader capabilities, collaboration, change management, and consistent approach to critical business leader skills and competencies. 
    • Leverages annual processes to identify opportunities to improve organizational structures, address competency and performance gaps, support the development of top talent, and plan for the future. Partners with management to maximize the completion of annual and ongoing performance assessment, performance management, compensation planning, and succession planning. 
    • Understands the business unit and the organization’s business strategies, initiatives and challenges and applies human resources strategies and programs to facilitate achievement of the business goals. 
    • Implements best in class human resources strategies in alignment with employer of choice initiatives. Develops and delivers comprehensive human capital/staffing plans, succession planning, career pathing and competency-based development which translate into robust HR strategic and tactical business plans. 
    • Oversees a highly effective, fair, and consistent employee relations program for the assigned unit. Partners with leaders and Employee Relations resources to ensure that issues are addressed in a timely manner through a comprehensive, thorough, and objective investigation and resolution process. Coaches' managers on the effective resolution of conflict, and how to foster a positive working environment. 

What should you already know to be successful in this role?

    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree required with HR focus preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience across multiple human resource disciplines including talent development, employee relations, and performance management or in progressive leadership roles with emphasis on growing and developing teams 
    • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness 
    • Excellent consulting, client management and business literacy skills with demonstrated understanding of corporate and business unit challenges  
    • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities 
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills 
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business  
    • Team player that can adapt to a fast pace and changing environment  
    • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required   
    • Commitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competencies

    • Physical Requirements: While performing the essential duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:
    • Remain in a stationary position 100% of the workday
    • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment 
    • Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
    • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
    • The position does not require travel
