As Head of People, your mission is to drive sustainable team growth and cultivate a thriving, inclusive, and purpose-driven workplace. The position is offered full-time in Berlin and is available immediately.
Your responsibilities at GO2 Markets
- You will work closely with our Talent Acquisition Manager(s) to drive sustainable team growth and constantly improve our hiring process.
- You will lead the growth planning process, aligning on hiring priorities with leadership and key stakeholders.
- You will step in as needed to support the team with interviews and/or Senior or Lead positions.
- You will mentor hiring teams and conduct recruitment trainings to ensure best practices.
- You will champion diversity and embed equitable practices across the employee lifecycle.
- You will oversee and support the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions.
- You will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team, guiding all people topics and fostering collaborative, safe leadership practices.
- You will help design and implement career development frameworks and evolve our compensation and benefits system to ensure transparency, fairness, and competitiveness.
- You will coordinate and facilitate feedback and performance management processes and cultivate a culture of continuous, constructive feedback.
- You will gather regular feedback from the team and turn insights into meaningful action plans to increase engagement and retention.
- You will identify training needs across the organisation and set up internal workshops and external learning opportunities.
- You will manage contracts and amendments and ensure legal compliance across all people’s operations.
- You and your team respond to HR admin queries and are the go-to person for visa topics, preparatory payroll, and labour law matters.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that our HRIS (Personio) and documentation are complete and up to date.
- You will collaborate closely with our Office Manager on Occupational Health & Safety topics, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for everyone.

Your profile
- You have a background in Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field and 7+ years of work experience in an HR Generalist role, including significant experience leading an HR team.
- You bring comprehensive German labour law and HR compliance knowledge, a strong operational foundation, and fluency in German (native level) and English.
- You are an expert user of HR tools and software (we currently use Personio, Lever, and CultureAmp) and know how to turn HR data into insights.
- You are an empathetic and inclusive leader who balances empathy with accountability and drives structured execution.
- You are highly structured, process-driven, and thrive translating strategy into repeatable systems and scalable practices.
- Additional qualifications in coaching, conflict mediation, and/or GDPR are a plus.
