About Us and Our Mission
Goalbook’s mission is to empower educators to transform instruction so that ALL students succeed. We were founded in 2011 and currently a team of 40 people, most of whom are former public school teachers. We have been profitable since 2014 and now partner with 550 school districts across 45 states, but we are just getting started! We aspire to build a diverse and inclusive company that can have a systemic and cultural impact on the US K-12 school system over the long term.
We believe that education is ultimately not about technology–it is about people. Decades of research have shown that the teacher is the most important school-based factor in a child’s education. We believe that technology’s biggest opportunity in education is to develop, enhance, and support great human teaching. We have established a new product category around supporting the instructional planning process that complements existing models of in-person training, coaching, and teacher collaboration.
