A bit about this role: 
Brightside provides financial care to the millions of working families who live paycheck to paycheck. Our products span traditional financial products like savings and checking accounts, as well as internal tools our Financial Assistants (FAs) use to service our clients. As the Director of Product for AI, you will partner closely with the Client Intelligence team and business stakeholders to build AI-powered products that scale our operations and improve client financial health.

The meaningful work you will tackle:

    • Strategy & Vision: Articulate a clear vision for data and AI products, aligning with the company’s strategic goals. Lead the roadmap planning, prioritization, and product strategy for AI initiatives.
    • Product execution: Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept through launch and iteration. 
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with both technical and client-facing teams throughout the product development process. Partner with adjacent product teams to ensure seamless end-to-end experiences.
    • Thought leadership: Keep up with the latest developments in AI, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into applications relevant to Brightside.

What we’re looking for in your background & what makes you a success:

    • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a product leadership role.
    • Proven track record of developing and launching successful data and AI products, especially as part of scaling workflows and operations.
    • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, machine learning models, and AI technologies.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable product features.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of motivating teams and driving projects to completion.
    • Ability to operate at both the 30,000-foot strategic level and build scrappily in a resource-constrained environment.
    • Experience in fintech, healthcare, or a related industry is preferred.
