Around 10 years in automotive plastic design with at least 5 years of management experience. Strong understanding of Honda’s Plastic Part Development. 

Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
    • Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
    • Create part specification requirements and BOM.
    • Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
    • Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
    • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
    • Search new ways to increase overall productivity, utilize latest technology, and reduce parts cost.
    • Travel to client sites required.
    • Manage Goken Nihon organization for updating company handbook/policy as needed, talent management, business development and global business coordination between global Goken locations.

Requirements:

    • Proficiency in CATIA V5/3D Experience is a must
    • Proficient in Solid, Surface Modelling and Drafting
    • Engineering design and development experience in automotive plastic components
    • Strong communication skills in Japanese language. Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is must.
    • Experience of OEM / Tier1 is must. Candidates having Japanese OEM parts development experience are preferred.
    • Knowledge of milestones in automotive product development is essential.
    • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, DMEA, GD&T and tolerance stack analysis
    • Experience with MS Office tools like Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory.
    • Experience with talent management and business development.
    • General knowledge of labor-related laws and practical experience in human resources and labor management to meet the qualifications for the dispatching company manager (person responsible for HAKEN
