Summary:
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the procurement and vendor management strategy, ensuring cost-effective and efficient sourcing of products and services. This role requires a proven track record in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, optimizing vendor relationships, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes. 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the overall procurement and vendor management strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement and vendor management team.
    • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on performance, quality, cost, and reliability.
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with key vendors to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.
    • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.
    • Contract Negotiation and Management: 
    • Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
    • Review and draft contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor contract performance and enforce terms as necessary.
    • Cost Management: 
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement processes.
    • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
    • Risk Management: 
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies for the business as it relates to vendor management and procurement.
    • Process Optimization: 
    • Evaluate and improve existing procurement and vendor management processes.
    • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Compliance: 
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in procurement regulations.
    • Team Development: 
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing procurement and vendor management team.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. 

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 10+ years’ experience in procurement and vendor management roles, with a proven track record of strategic leadership
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor relationship management
    • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement activities
    • Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and process improvements
    • Experience in a leadership role overseeing a procurement team
    • Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus
Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000/ Annually
