The Strategic Compensation Analyst will play a key role in developing and implementing a comprehensive compensation program that aligns with GoodLeap’s business objectives and industry best practices. This role will involve conducting market research, analyzing compensation data, designing salary structures, drafting and approving job descriptions and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in compensation planning, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support the organization’s growth and talent strategy.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Compensation Program Development: Design and implement a company-wide compensation program, including salary structures, incentive plans, and job leveling frameworks. Develop competitive base and variable pay strategies to attract and retain top talent. Conduct job evaluations and salary benchmarking to ensure pay equity and market competitiveness. Collaborate with leadership and HR partners to align compensation strategy with business objectives.
    • Market Analysis and Benchmarking: Research and analyze salary survey data to determine market pay trends. Provide recommendations for pay adjustments based on internal equity and external market competitiveness. Partner with third-party vendors and industry associations to stay updated on compensation trends and best practices.
    • Compliance and Governance: Ensure the compensation program complies with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency laws). Maintain pay equity and internal consistency in line with organizational and legal standards. Prepare reports and documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.
    • Compensation Strategy and Communication: Educate HR partners, managers, and employees on compensation philosophy, pay practices, and program changes. Develop tools and resources to help managers make informed pay decisions.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Draft and approve job descriptions, analyze compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Create dashboards and reports to monitor the effectiveness of compensation programs. Provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership and executive teams.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in compensation analysis, HR analytics or related role.
    • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation, compensation plan design, and market pricing methodologies.
    • Experience with HRIS systems, compensation survey tools, and data visualization platforms.
    • Advance proficiency in Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUP’s, data modeling) and familiarity with data analysis tools.
    • Knowledge of pay transparency laws, FSLA, and other regulations.
    • Strong problem-solving, project management, and stake holder engagement skills.
    • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for business leaders.
    • Strict attention to detail.
    • Good presentation and facilitation skills.
    • Experience in Finance/FinTech industry preferred.
    • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification is a plus.
Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000/Annually
