The Supply Chain – Planning & Allocation Analyst will be responsible for leading the Item Planning efforts ensuring that the bottoms-up plan aligns to the Merch Financial expectations and Inventory is purchased to support the plan. This role will partner directly with SC Divisional teams and internal partners (Merchandising, Marketing, CRM…) and external partners (Vendors, Distributors…) to support business and assortment strategies. It will be imperative that this person demonstrate the problem-solving and analytical skills necessary to thrive in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish a deep understanding of business, internal processes, and overall supply chain
- Responsible for performing regular analysis, review and manipulation of inventory planning and replenishment policies, via JustEnough, used to manage inventory throughout the BevMo! Supply Chain (i.e. model stock, review/replenishment cycles, lead time, vendor constraints), monitor and adjust variables to meet store plans and business trends
- Analyze sales, inventory, Instock, Damage & Expiration, Turn and Vendor Fill Rate trends and create weekly item plans to drive the business
- Forecast, review and revise inventory purchases to maintain optimum inventory flow and maintain a well-balanced inventory in direct proportion to sales
- Develop Inventory Management strategies contingent with unique territory requirements as it pertains to volume, size, and business strategy
- Identify potential inventory liabilities and take appropriate actions to bring quantity to a desired level to optimize inventory turn goals
- Create and maintain seasonal, store volume and category profiles used to drive merchandise planning and allocation planning processes
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies with internal and external partners and communicate issues related to inventory and product flow
- Make recommendations to maximize profitability and productivity and communicate inventory concerns through the proper communication vehicles
- Review and determine quantities to purchase for new, allocated and continuing SKUs
- Participate as an integral partner with Planning, Merchandising, Logistics and OperationsReview and manage financial reporting with internal and external partners
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve inventory management processes, procedures and toolsGenerate and analyze inventory management and exception reports
- Act as a point of contact for inventory related inquiries from internal partners
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory is appropriately represented throughout the chain
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years Merchandise Planning, Inventory Planning, Supply Chain/Logistics or Allocations experience
- Must have strong computer skills – proficiency with excel is required
- Experience with JustEnough Demand Planning Suite or an ERP system a plus
- Alcohol Beverage experience is a plus
- Capable of taking initiative, ownership and accountability for the business
- Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
- Must be extremely detail oriented and organized
- Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal
$60,000 - $85,000 a year
