Collaborating closely with our Development and Client Services teams, you’ll craft internal tools that revolutionize our solution delivery, ensuring it's faster, more cost-effective, and exceptionally reliable. 

As a leader, you'll be accountable for growing and nurturing your Product team, ensuring the right balance of capacity and capabilities. You’ll also join our other leaders in foster a culture of excellence and a "growth-company" mindset, stewarding our values and culture across the organization.

We are open to remote arrangements with a preference for candidates located in the Greater Boston area. 


What you’ll do:

    • Accountable for the product portion of the go to market strategy for the practice in collaboration with the practice heads, with a primary focus on the learning offerings.
    • Develop and apply an appropriate AI strategy for our three market sectors:  online learning, clinical trials support, and learning in life sciences.
    • Define road maps to support over the horizon goals.
    • Work closely with the Development team to formalize our own internal tools and processes to help us deliver higher quality solutions in a fast, less expensive, and more reliable way.
    • Direct project supervision of all product team members and through active coordination with Directors of other groups that are providing staffing for projects.
    • Set the bar of excellence for Product Management and Design at Studion; establishing design best practices to be used by all of Product Managers to assure consistent and high quality delivery across projects.
    • As a player/manager serve as product manager on a select set of high impact client projects.
    • Work with clients and our internal team to determine product strategy and roadmaps for client projects. Clearly explain product trade-offs and decisions to team members and clients to create the best possible experience. 
    • Lead the end-to-end product design lifecycle, creating impactful product artifacts including user flows, product requirements document, sketches/wireframes, and other conceptual diagrams and documents to communicate product vision.
    • Create prototypes and perform usability tests and studies.
    • Support Commercial Development with business development and sales activities for new clients and upselling existing clients.
    • Right size the capacity and capabilities of your Product team.
    • Build and sustain a high-performing team of Product Managers.
    • Create a pool of high-quality, on-demand contract resources to fill staff capability gaps and create surge capacity.
    • Be a steward of the business’ values and culture and ensure these are preserved and developed in Client Services.
    • Enhance the culture of the team around a “growth-company” mindset that promotes customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for upselling, and growing the Practice.

Who you are:

    • Software Product Strategist: 10+ years of software product management and development with at least 5 of those years in Edtech experience discovering, designing, and prioritizing product features.
    • Formal training or experience as a software engineer (e.g. a bachelors in CS).
    • Ability to envision and execute a product vision from a blank slate.
    • Able to anticipate client and project needs and prevent potential issues in the design and development process.
    • Research and Validator: Ability to use data to make decisions and experience designing and running usability studies and feedback/interview sessions.
    • Systems Communicator: Able to create complex models that convey product components and relationships to align understanding across external client stakeholders and internal team members. 
    • Knowledgeable about front end, back end, and cloud technology to determine the feasibility and difficulty of client requests and to discuss trade offs with development teams.
    • Experience leading diverse remote teams of technical, non technical, and creative members in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities to achieve intended results. Proven track record working collaboratively with software development teams to build products.
    • Able to create and deliver new and novel facilitation activities and presentations to address client needs.  Great verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Embraces an “always be learning” attitude and work culture. Excited about working in a tech-enabled professional services company (as opposed to a product company) with ambitious growth goals.
    • Passionate about the intersection of technology and learning with particular interest in developing novel AI applications.
