Job Description
We are looking for a driven and creative front-end software to join us as a core member of our product team. You'll be essential in building our cutting-edge Ark.ai platform to help our customers displace time-consuming, manual processes to reach informed real-time decisions in complex federal markets. As part of our team, you must be a fluent coder with a strong understanding of both Javascript and React JS. You must also understand data and how to bring it to life.
In order to do this job well, you must be a proactive, self-guided learner who enjoys keeping up with the latest tech in front-end development. You have a passion for great work and nothing less than your best will do. You share our intolerance of mediocrity. You’re uber-smart, challenged by figuring things out and producing simple solutions to complex problems. Knowing there are always multiple answers to a problem, you know how to engage in a constructive dialogue to find the best path forward. You’re scrappy. We like scrappy.
This is a team member position, working onsite in our Pittsburgh, PA office.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the development of visually stunning and highly usable interfaces
- Actively participate in software design and creation as part of an agile team
- Craft clean, testable, and maintainable codeEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Understand data and know the best way to present data to end users
- Create interactive dashboards and highly intuitive chartsOptimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate to solve important and difficult information problems
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- 3+ years software development experience with open source technology
- Expert using Javascript, ReactJS and Redux
- Strong expertise with CSS/ SaSS
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Intellectually curious with a burning desire to learn
- Familiarity in developing search-based applications in Java
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases
- Experience with Git source control management
- Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment
