The Salesforce CPQ Administrator  will be an integral part of the Sales Operations team with a focus on offering guidance to Sales to drive deal execution while complying with company policies and procedures and managing risk. This role includes analyzing and structuring sales transactions to further our goals while reducing sales cycles in an effort to accelerate deal closure. This will be accomplished by meeting with Sales teams to identify Customer's critical business issues and assist in structuring transactions that meet both our requirements and Customer needs. This position will partner and collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Renewals, Customer Success, Legal and FP&A teams on proposed deals with a focus on ensuring that the organization is getting the best possible return on investment and that deals are in line with organizational strategy and internal policies.  

What your impact will look like here

    • Serve as trusted advisor to the Sales team and subject matter expert on deal operations, including structure, contracting options, pricing accuracy and approval processes. 
    • Engage early in deal cycles with the Sales Team to accelerate deal velocity by ensuring deals are structured, priced and processed efficiently and align to company policies. 
    • Act as the first point of escalation and approval on complex deal questions and non-standard requests. Serve as trusted advisor to the Sales team and subject matter expert on deal operations, including structure, contracting options, pricing accuracy and approval processes. 
    • Responsible for the handling of day-to-day queries from groups including, sales, sales development and account management teams using quoting tools and/or CRM system. 
    • Generate accurate and timely quotes for products and services based on customer requirements, pricing guidelines, and business strategies. 
    • Collaborate with sales, finance, and product teams to understand pricing structures, discounting policies, and contractual terms. 
    • Evaluate non-standard quote configurations to identify relevant accounting, billing, and operational impacts and collaborate with internal teams to resolve. 
    • Maintain quoting databases and documentation, updating pricing information and discount schedules as needed. 
    • Serve as a central point of contact for deal structuring, pricing negotiations, and contract review. 
    • Analyze deal metrics, including pricing, margins, and profitability, to support decision-making and optimize deal outcomes. 
    • Partner with sales representatives to develop pricing strategies and resolve pricing-related issues. 
    • Facilitate deal approvals through cross-functional collaboration with sales, legal, finance, and other stakeholders. 
    • Document and administer approval matrix; ensure best practices are followed 
    • Work closely with sales operations, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment of quoting and deal desk activities with overall business objectives. 
    • Provide training and support to sales teams on quoting tools, processes, and pricing guidelines. 
    • Act as a subject matter expert on quoting and pricing matters, offering guidance and insights to internal stakeholders. 
    • Assist the Sales & Pricing Operations teams with process and system improvements, handle sales training, ad-hoc projects and other team enablement needs 
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate quoting and deal desk processes, leveraging technology and best practices. 
    • Implement controls and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quoting efficiency, deal velocity, and revenue realization.

    • Experience with Salesforce CPQ is a must.  
    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technical or related field 
    • 3+ years of experience with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Pricing, Finance, or similarly related role within a SaaS company 
    • Prior work in cross-functional environments, with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with sales and related teams 
    • Ability to juggle multiple high priorities, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast paced, sometimes ambiguous environment 
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn 
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) required
