A Little More About The role:
We seek a Senior Engineer, Data and AI Infrastructure to lead design and build of data platform infrastructure spanning internal and external use cases. Your focus will be unifying and processing data across internal microservices, external partners, and more. A history of successful collaboration and partnership with Product Engineers is essential. You are likely to be self-driven, enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and want to use a modern data engineering stack to solve challenging problems in a highly-regulated industry. 
 
You will:
·       Contribute to the overall architecture of new microservices and event-driven patterns, blending your focus on data with best practices for data quality and consistency to inform architecture strategies and standards.
·       Build infrastructure supporting operational systems of record, user-facing dashboards and reports, Machine Learning inference, and third-party integrations. 
·       Adopt a user-centric approach and develop a track record for productizing complex data infrastructure.
·       Cultivate cross-functional partnerships spanning Product Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, external partners, and other stakeholders.
·       Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance – using automation and AI where practical.
 
You bring:
·       5+ years of experience architecting, building, optimizing, and operating, data integrations, stream processing, and near real-time cloud analytics architectures using technologies like Flink, Kafka, Snowflake, Clickhouse.   
·       Expert-level SQL and Python, experience building and integrating with event-driven microservices, APIs, and flat files. Familiarity with JVM-based languages like Kotlin or Java, and in enabling AI inference infrastructure.   
·       8+ years of overall experience as a Data Engineer or Backend Software Engineer, with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
·       Practical experience with data structures, transformation, governance, metadata management, and distributed systems, using services like AWS ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS/SNS, and Lambda at scale in production environments.
·       Excellent communication skills and demonstrated success in driving results through influence and collaboration.
·       Eligibility to work in the United States without need of sponsorship now or in the future.
 
Extra credit:
·       Knowledge of Health Insurance Industry, HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI) compliance & standards.
·       History of being a key contributor to projects with complex dependencies, processes, and being accountable for estimations of scope and timeline.
·       Previous venture-backed startup experience.

The salary range for this position is $123,300 - $205,500 annually. Numerous factors including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. will be considered when determining compensation.
