A Little More About the Role:
We’re looking for a Manager of Data Analytics for our Data Strategy and Analytics Team. You’ll take what we’re doing - creating a health plan people will love – and apply data analytics across the company to help us achieve our goals. You will assess what we have today, identify the biggest opportunities for impact, and partner with the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics to build an analytics roadmap to achieve that impact. You’ll lead an innovative team of Data Analysts to design and execute in-depth analyses that provide actionable recommendations to the business.

You will:
·       Manage and execute on the strategy for maximizing the value of data analytics at Gravie, including but not limited to request intake, analysis design and execution, quality review, and delivery of actionable insights. 
·       Proactively engage with business leaders to understand their business problems and questions, and identify opportunities for data analytics solutions.
·       Partner closely with business leaders to deliver insights that will inform key decisions and improve our products and operations. 
·       Lead the creation, review, and delivery of regular and ad hoc statistical analysis across all areas of the business through the leadership of your team and digging in yourself to tackle the most complex problems. 
·       Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on all things data and analytics.
·       Design and measure key metrics to track the value and performance of the data analytics organization and actively address opportunities for improvement.
·       Collaborate with Reporting, Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering to translate ad-hoc analysis into robust and reliable data models and dashboards when relevant.  
·       Provide technical leadership to a team of talented data analysts, using your mathematical, statistical and analytics knowledge to mentor and provide technical direction to your team.
·       Leverage your amazing people leadership and talent development skills to ensure the true talent in your team is unleashed.
·       Continually evolve the skillset of the team for advanced analytics methods and techniques, including statistical analysis.
·       Stay informed of and employ innovative analytic techniques and tools to analyze both structured and unstructured data.

Qualifications:
·       Minimum of 5 years of analytics experience
·       3+ years of experience leading a high performing analytics team to meet or exceed ambitious expectations
·       Demonstrated success driving for and delivering results through collaboration
·       Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills 
·       Advanced SQL and statistical programming skills (Python, R, etc.)
·       Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Healthcare Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred
·       Previous experience working with a team in a high growth and fast paced environment
·       History of managing complex processes and multi-layered projects
·       Passion for building impactful health benefit products and delivering amazing customer experiences

Extra Credit:
·       Strong domain knowledge with expertise in Healthcare Analytics and business functions such as Claims, Underwriting, and Actuarial
·       Experience with health insurance, health plans, clinical programs, care navigation or adjacent industries
