Your day-to-day:

    • Design, build, and deploy AI-powered software solutions to support Greenlight’s AI initiatives across user-facing products, fraud detection, customer service automation, marketing automation, and more
    • Develop tools and infrastructure to support advanced AI  workflows including agentic architectures  as well as future work in distillation and fine-tuning
    • Partner with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to bring new AI features to life quickly and iteratively
    • Implement and optimize prompt engineering strategies, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector stores, and chain-of-thought reasoning capabilities.
    • Ensure robust integration of AI systems into our core architecture, with high performance and scalability
    • Contribute to our AI infrastructure and pipelines
    • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of your work—from ideation to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement
    • Push the boundaries of what’s possible with state-of-the-art AI technologies, working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team

What you’ll bring to the team:

    • Strong software engineering background, ideally with experience developing distributed systems or microservices (Kotlin experience a plus)
    • Solid understanding of modern AI/ML techniques including large language models, transformers, and fine-tuning strategies
    • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, LangChain (or similar frameworks), vector databases, and model deployment
    • Experience with Databricks or equivalent ML platforms
    • Ability to design, build, and maintain ML pipelines and serve models in production
    • A track record of shipping high-impact products or research in fast-moving environments
    • Curiosity and excitement for working at the cutting edge of AI—paired with the pragmatism to apply it where it makes the most impact
    • Bonus: Experience with ML infrastructure or MLOps

Our stance on salaries:
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.

The estimated base pay range for this position in (NY, CA, WA): $122,000- $180,000
The estimated base pay range for this position in (CO): $122,000- $160,000
