We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Leader with expertise in leading Mobile Platform and Developer Experience teams. In this role, you will lead a team of talented engineers who are responsible for Greenlight’s end to end Mobile Platform, including CI/CD pipeline, release management, mobile test infrastructure, library and version management. In addition we are seeking experience in building and implementing developer productivity tools serving large engineering organizations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality mobile app development, releases and gather input on developer needs pertaining to their day to day activities.

Your day-to-day:

    • Team Development: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. Identify opportunities for skill development and growth, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
    • Technical Excellence: Enable Greenlight’s Mobile Platform Development, Testing and Mobile and Backend Release strategy across all engineering teams, influence change and drive critical metrics towards efficient releases. Build systems, tools and processes to enable high performance code delivery from developer to production. 
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering managers, quality engineers, platform and other engineering teams to understand requirements and design solutions that meet developer and business needs. Communicate technical decisions and strategies effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve our platform's capabilities.
    • Recruitment and Hiring: Participate in the recruitment process by identifying and interviewing potential candidates. Help grow the team with top-tier engineering talent. Providing both performance management and career development opportunities.

What you’ll bring to the team:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • 6+ years of experience in leading Mobile infrastructure and/or Mobile delivery teams in addition to strong developer enablement and tooling development experience.
    • Demonstrated experience hiring, managing and mentoring engineering teams. 
    • Proficiency in Core iOS and Android frameworks and SDKs.
    • Industry knowledge and proficiency in the global mobile ecosystem including expert knowledge of iOS and Android App Store release process and applicable tools.
    • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD pipeline including mobile release patterns and tools.
    • Ability to influence large engineering teams and align around Mobile development and release practices. 
    • Experience providing mentorship, career development opportunities, and performance

    • Strong customer mindset and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced
    • environment to meet business outcomes
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound and oftentimes innovative technical decisions.

Our stance on salaries:
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.

The estimated base pay range for this position in (NY, CA, WA): $180,000-240,000
The estimated base pay range for this position in (CO): $180,000-225,000
