Greenlight is looking for an organized, strategic Copywriter to join our marketing team. This copywriter will focus on website copywriting, demonstrating a strong ability to create short-form, SEO-performant copy that converts. 

The best candidate has a knack for crafting quippy, clear, ownable copy, proactively collaborates across different teams, self-manages several priorities while remaining organized, and consistently delivers strategic and creative work. This person is a stand-out communicator who is excited to bring their impact to a dynamic and growing start-up. 

You will:

    • Quickly learn and master our tone of voice and style guide and execute that voice across our website and acquisition marketing collateral. 
    • Build out content maps and help strategize site architecture for our homepage and new landing pages. 
    • Audit and refine existing web copy, identifying opportunities to improve clarity, storytelling, and tone of the site. 
    • Partner with a cross-functional team of designers, growth marketers, and product managers to execute copy variations for weekly website experimentation ideas and needs — and bring your own copy experiments to the table.
    • Craft quippy, compelling, short-form copy to convert new users via direct mail, email, and banner ads. 

You are:

    • An impeccable writer who crafts concise, creative copy to speak to young people and their parents. 
    • Creative and strategic. You have experience articulating a memorable story in a small space.
    • Obsessed with finding the clearest way to communicate a message, with a special talent for converting new users. 
    • Confident working on everything from big-picture content strategies to discussing the details of word choice and punctuation.
    • Able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
    • Organized, accountable, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
    • A team player. No work is above or below you. 

You bring:

    • 6-8 years of experience writing, with at least 2-4 years writing specifically for brand websites.
    • Impeccable copywriting skills and a baseline understanding of SEO and how to optimize copy for SEO performance.
    • Strong organization skills and a team player attitude. 
    • Bonus points for an interest in or experience speaking to a range of ages — from kids to parents to grandparents.

Our stance on salaries:
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.
