Responsibilities

    • Provide exceptional patient and customer service in keeping with GreenShield-NKS Health values.
    • Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.
    • Administer intramuscular vaccination and TB skin testing as ordered
    • Take appropriate action in situations where the safety and well-being of the patient may be compromised.
    • Adhere to best work safety practices and procedures
    • Report Adverse Events as needed
    • Adhere to nursing practices as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
    • Commitment to continuing education
    • Minimum of 1 year experience with IVs, hospital nursing preferred
    • Experience with IV antibiotics, and biologics preferred
    • Experience with Pediatric patient population an asset

Requirements

    • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
    • Current BLS required. ACLS an asset
    • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required.
    • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
    • Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills.
    • Possesses the physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties described in the duties and responsibilities.
·         Minimum of 3 set days/week
·         General hours 8-4 or 9-5, but needs to be flexible (no guaranteed hours)
