We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a new Development team as
we scope and build out an exciting new digital health product. You'll be working cross-
functionally with both internal and external Product Managers, Designers, and QA teams to
bring this new product to life. You love leading people and championing growth, ownership, and
accountability within your teams. You are an excellent coach, strong communicator, and have
the technical depth to guide and advise the team and other stakeholders.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
- Lead a team of Software Engineers
- Supporting Product Managers to plan and estimate delivery of product road map items in conjunction with the Technical Lead and other team members.
- Co-ordinate and have oversight of timelines and deliverables of the overall “Project(s)” they manage.
- Guide informed architectural decisions / recommendations
- Ensure their team is adhering to best practices when it comes to TDD, CI/CD, Cloud Infrastructure
- Identify areas of improvement within the codebase
- Supporting team members they manage, in their career progressions through feedback and mentoring.
- Hiring new team members
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Substantial experience in leading teams who are developing REST APIs
- Computer Science degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years leading agile teams
- Advanced development knowledge using frameworks such as React and NodeJS
- Excellent knowledge of security, privacy, and accessibility
- Strong understanding of release management
- Familiarity with GCP is a plus
