Overview of Position
We are currently seeking a Residential Leasing Agent to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for leasing apartment units and leading our marketing efforts to attract new tenants. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Our portfolio of residential properties located in:
· St Leonard
· Côte Saint-Luc
· Hampstead
· Côte-Des-Neiges-NDG
· Ville St-Laurent
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries from potential tenants, schedule property tours, and show available units.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential tenants.
- Conduct background and credit checks on potential tenants.
- Prepare lease agreements, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leasing activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in residential leasing or a related field.
- Experience using property management and leasing software including Yardi and Rentsync.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A real estate license is an asset but not required.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Knowledge of Quebec’s residential tenancy laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with property management software and online advertising platforms.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends based on the availability of the prospective tenants.
