Role Description 
As a HW Technical Program Manager at Gridwareyou will be a part of the team responsible for the technical management of the development and implementation process for the physical components (Mechanical and Electrical) designed by our development teams. In this role you will drive the exciting challenge of executing the overall program objectives focusing on engineering, development planning and validation cycles. This involves engaging and contributing to the large collaborative engineering teams to balance several competing objectives while meeting aggressive timelines in a creative fashion! 

Your background might look like:

    • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects (with OR without direct reports). 
    • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible when faced with uncertainty and changes in direction 
    • Ability to be influential on a highly integrated team of technical and non-technical members. 
    • Manage product development programs by defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery. 
    • Use technical judgment while working with large, cross-functional teams. 
    • Develop tools and processes to improve hardware engineering productivity. 
    • Communicate schedules, budgets, priorities, and status to all levels in the company. 
    • Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with impacted teams to help drive them to closure 
    • Drive documentation/drawing releases, tooling kickoff, and design/component qualification with Engineering and suppliers to meet aggressive schedules 

Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 
    • 5 years of professional experience in hardware product development. 

Bonus Skills

    • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Scienceor a related technical field. 
    • Experience partnering with cross-functional leads as well as demonstratedproduct management across an organization. 
    • Experience building highly effective engineering organizations, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and influencing without authority. 
    • Experience with developing product for high volume mass production 
    • Experience collaborating with factories and/or supply chain to coordinate NPI development activities 
    • Experience contributing to the creation or evolution of Product Development Processes (PDP) 
$170,000 - $185,000 a year
