Role Description 
As a Senior Manager on the Hardware team you will be responsible for leading all ofhte Hardware Engineering functions for a project (EE, ME, FW, and REL).  The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, brings clarity through structured and creative thinking, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. They communicate with empathy and precision, tailoring messages to resonate across audiences and disciplines. A strong sense of ownership, a product-first mentality, and a collaborative spirit are essential. You should be someone who can identify opportunities others may miss, form compelling ideas, and drive them into action—whether that means hands-on technical work, thoughtful cross-functional alignment, or shaping the future direction of the product. 

Your background might look like

    • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible when faced with uncertainty and changes in direction 
    • Ability to be influential on a highly integrated team of technical and non-technical members. 
    • Manage product development programs by defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery. 
    • Use technical judgment while working with large, cross-functional teams. 
    • Develop tools and processes to improve hardware engineering productivity. 
    • Ownership of schedules, budgets, priorities for hardware projects. 
    • Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with impacted teams to own driving them to closure 
    • Define best practices and be a coach/mentor to develop people on your team 

Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 
    • 10 years of professional experience in hardware product development with 3 yrs managing a team. 

Bonus Skills

    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Scienceor a related technical field. 
    • 15 years of professional experience in hardware product development with 5 yrs managing a team. 
    • Experience partnering with cross-functional leadership 
    • Experience building highly effective engineering organizations, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and influencing without authority. 
    • Experience with developing product for high volume mass production 
    • Experience collaborating with factories and/or supply chain to coordinate NPI development activities 
    • Experience contributing to the creation or evolution of Product Development Processes (PDP) 
$225,000 - $250,000 a year
