We are looking for a quali-quanti public policy researcher to join our Regulatory team, based in Mexico (CDMX) or Colombia (Bogotá). As part of the team, you will work in the forefront of transportation innovation, combining the power of your academic knowledge with Grow’s tech and data to leverage new strategies for improving urban mobility in Latin America. You will help shape our Public Policy and Regulation thinking and agenda with data-driven analysis and insights informed by your urban economics, transportation engineering and city planning expertise. And all of this in the service of advancing micro mobility as a clean, cheap, healthy, fun and efficient alternative for modern cities.

Your main responsibilities:

    • Bringing analytical and empirical rigor to the policy and regulatory challenges impacting Grow nationally and locally, using qualitative and quantitative methods;
    • Using your research skills to map, quantify and analyze how people use Grow’s products and how these integrate with cities’ transportation networks, and above all public transportation;
    • Assisting Regulatory and Government Relations in designing and promoting proposals for effective micro mobility regulation;
    • Bringing external state-of-the-art academic research and publicly available data to bare in decisions about new products and product features;
    • Influencing and collaborating with stakeholders in academic, government and civil society to advance micro mobility research.

Who we are looking for:

    • Excellent academic background;
    • 3+ years of post-graduation experience;
    • 3+ years experience working in an analytical and quantitative research capacity in academia, think tanks, government or the private sector;
    • Advanced skills in economics, quantitative political science, traffic engineering, city planning or a related field preferred;
    • Some programming experience and the ability to work with large data sets;
    • Comfort with statistical methods and technical tools including any of SQL, R, Python, GIS mapping tools;and excellent at troubleshooting;
    • At least advanced English.
