About the Role:
Harvest Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, planning, organizing, coordinating, and leading the Harvest Team's activities for the facility. This supervisor will lead the team and will ensure quality, compliance, and consistency of service delivery.  The Harvest Supervisor will report to the Head Grower.

Core Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and direct the activities of Harvest team; make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees in department
    • Supervise the cannabis harvest process including offload, harvesting, sanitizing and reloading flower rooms, milling and destruction
    • Ensure SOPs are being followed for all harvest and post-harvest activities
    • Lead and support the Harvest team, identify gaps and weaknesses and allocate resources accordingly
    • Keep detailed harvest records and submit reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, or as needed
    • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with Head Grower and other leaders
    • Work collaboratively with Head Grower on Drying/Curing processes and schedules
    • Assist Team Leads with conflict resolution within the department and address team member concerns and questions
    • Monitor employee progress; guide, train and develop employees in the accomplishment of their duties and goals through professional growth
    • Hold employees accountable for performance; identify poor performance or behavior and coach employee
    • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure staffing needs are met based on the harvest schedule as well as in forecasting future labor needs
    • Lead and promote a culture of safety and teamwork in the Grow team and throughout the facility
    • Ensure all harvest tools and machinery are in working order and coordinate with the maintenance department to troubleshoot/fix any mechanical issues
    • Provide regular feedback and support to employees in all harvest related activities
    • Collaborate with the Quality/Compliance department to ensure all aspects of quality & compliance are maintained, including records and documentation, and improved on as required
    • Identify concepts and plans for cost and productivity improvements

Qualifications and Requirements

    • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 2+ years supervisory experience working in a manufacturing, batching, facilities or related industry required
    • Experience in conflict resolution
    • Proven success in leading multidisciplinary teams to the highest quality work
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with different groups, changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
    • Experience working in a highly regulated space is preferred
    • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
    • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast paced environment
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally

Additional Requirements

    • Valid driver’s license or State ID card
    • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
    • Must pass all required background checks
    • Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
    • Must be approved by the MMCC to receive an Agent badge
