The Job

Guidewire is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic full-time Marketing Coordinator in the UK responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic demand generation plans and programs that drive new business opportunity and pipeline acceleration in the UK, and South Africa. The successful candidate will work closely with local sales teams and will play a critical role in creating and executing localized marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales. You will receive support from the European Demand Generation team as well as the entire marketing team situated in the US but it's important to note that you will operate independently in your role.

Responsibilities

    • Define collaboratively with local teams and implement strategic marketing plans and programs to achieve the company's goals, increase brand awareness, and drive sales.
    • Take the lead in owning the marketing strategy and ensure alignment and accountability across departments such as Sales, Alliances, Customer Success etc.
    • Execution of demand generation activities from concept and strategy creation to planning and execution, including pre/post event logistics, communications, budget management, digital marketing, post-event analysis, vendors management.
    • Leverage expertise in event management to facilitate productive engagement across departments, focusing on specific needs rather than both sides determining event requirements.
    • Experience working with different internal stakeholders, eg who needs to be aware of what, how is data shared, putting pivot tables or graphs over data so stakeholders can easily see at a glance the breakdown of registrations, who needs to be kept up to speed on the day to day information and who needs a weekly summary 
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, provide regular reports on ROI, KPIs, and trends to inform decision-making, and make data-driven recommendations.
    • Develop and manage the allocated marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation for a positive return on investment.
    • Foster collaboration with local teams to ensure social media engagement aligns with marketing initiatives.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor strategies to refine marketing strategies accordingly.

Requirements

    • 10+ years of proven experience as a Marketing Manager or in a similar role 
    • Field Marketing background 
    • Language skills: Native English Speaker
    • UK insurance industry experience would be a plus
    • Knowledge of marketing software and tools (e.g., Marketo, Pathfactory, DemandBase, Thoughtspot, Google Workspace, Salesforce).
