Successful candidates should have the following:
- One to Three years of accounting experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of accrual basis accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to conduct the month-end closing process and review financials.
- Preferably skilled in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, and Bill.com/Expensify
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously and in collaborative settings.
- Eagerness to take on responsibilities, advance, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Well-organized with strong prioritization skills.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial work papers, reports, and journal entries.
- Assist with monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling financial accounts and Accounts Payable.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts as required.
- Prepare financial statements, including a Balance Sheet, Income Statement, General Ledger, Trial Balance, and other Ad Hoc reports.
- Coordinate financial statement preparation and supporting documents for annual tax preparation and quarterly extension payments.
- Communicate with all levels of management, clients, and third parties to investigate and resolve account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
- Contribute to developing new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Perform other accounting research, accounting duties, and supporting staff as required or assigned additional training staff.
$65,000 - $95,000 a year
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $65,000-$95,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
