Hadrian — Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies make rockets, jets, and satellites 10x faster and 2x cheaper. Our CEO, Chris Power, discusses the importance of what we're building in this video.

We are a lean but mighty team (and growing!) people that are passionate about building critical infrastructure to support the nation and the advancement of humanity.

To support our ambitious vision, we have raised > $200M from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital, and more.

About this role:

As a foundational software engineer on our robotics team, you will lead the charge on a variety of projects writing software to schedule and coordinate autonomous hardware in our factory. Examples of possible work include everything from task management of multi-robot systems to building interfaces for loading and unloading parts between machining operations.

You will be challenged to think creatively and solve never before seen problems. You will work cross functionally with production experts and machining specialists to develop novel solutions working toward fully automated factories. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact to the evolution of manufacturing automation, pushing the envelope of what is possible in the field of robotics and software engineering. Come join us!

Note: you do not need to have aerospace, defense, or manufacturing experience to excel in this role

In this role you will:

    • Scope, architect, and deploy critical applications that will drive revenue and make a positive impact in the world
    • Implement seamless software services to interface robots with factory management systems
    • Write robust, reliable software to coordinate robots and other machines
    • Integrate third party APIs and software libraries into new and existing systems
    • Build alongside an incredible team of engineers, operators, and the best machinists/CAM programmers in the world

This might be a good fit if you:

    • Have extensive experience shipping modern full-stack applications (our back-ends are Typescript/NextJS and our frontends are React)
    • 7+ Years of Experience
    • Have tech-lead critical projects or initiatives
    • Have worked on large, complex codebases
    • Are self-motivated and eager to get hands-on and tackle challenges independently while working collaboratively toward identified objectives
    • Take responsibility and ownership finding solutions no matter what
    • Deploy your broad experience and big picture view to fix undreamed of problems with innovative solutions
    • Have experience writing software that integrates with hardware, like robots and CNC machines
    • Feel passionate about making things move in the real world with software
    • Are excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high-stakes and quick iteration cycles
    • Are a highly effective communicator when speaking or writing, especially when presenting technical information
